Boblberg: A local digital meeting place

Amidst the myriad of fleeting online interactions, Boblberg has created a space to establish new and safe relationships with other people in your neighbourhood.

Boblberg is a networking platform developed in cooperation with the Red Cross. It aims to combat loneliness and promote mental health. The platform has existed since 2016, and today more than half a million citizens have created a profile.

They have been looking for someone to share activities and socialise with. In the past year alone, more than one and a half million messages have been exchanged on the platform, many of which have led to meetings in the physical world. The activity shows a widespread need for new and close relationships among a large part of the population.
